Big Cheese Music produces and records music, builds electric guitars and high quality tube amplifiers, and sells new and vintage/used guitars, amps and related equipment. It is run only by musicians that have played and recorded professionally, toured, and are driven by their love of music and the creative process, as well as a fascination for vintage guitars, and the many players that have gotten us to this point in music history.
In the future, we hope to bring a very unique service to musicians, tour managers, promotors, record industry executives, engineers, and anyone associated with the music industry. Mike Unger, MD is a board certified physician specializing in psychiatry and treating substance abuse, including Suboxone, used to treat heroin and opiate dependence. Dr Unger trained at New York University Medical Center and has been in practice for more than 10 years. He specializes in mood disorders such as Bipolar Disorder, Major Depressive Disorder, Panic disorder, anxiety, sleep related conditions, Psychotic conditions, PTSD, psychotherapy, group and couples therapy, and addiction, whether it be nicotine or crack cocaine. He is also an avid guitarist, singer and songwriter that has toured in the USA and abroad with different bands. He builds tube amplifiers and guitars, and understands the unique lifestyles and pressures associated with musicians and music executives that work so hard to become successful and then struggle to remain there. Mike recorded and toured with a band that had a song in Billboard's top 40 (pop charts) in 2006 and performed in the band video that was on MTV Hits. Whether it is a touring band with members that don't get along threatening the success of the whole band, a single member with an addiction or destructive, self defeating behaviors, etc., he can help clients achieve their own goals with a motivational approach and optimistic style that has helped thousands of clients.
